About Me

Mary Moss, LMHCA

she/her

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State. I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. I completed my internship at Monarch Children’s Justice and Advocacy Center where I practiced Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and somatic approaches to support survivors navigating complex trauma and systems involvement. I practice under clinical supervision of Jen Marino, LMHC (#LH61204606).

As a therapist, I show up with curiosity, humor, and empathy to provide care for teens and adults that is affirming, trauma-informed, and truly supportive. I believe therapy can be a unique space where healing and growth occurs through connection and trust, both within the therapeutic relationship and within the client.

I especially enjoy my work with LGBTQIA teens and those who have experienced trauma and major stressors. I’m drawn to this work because I care deeply about reducing suffering and helping people feel more resilient, connected, and hopeful. I work collaboratively with teens, parents, and adults - offering support that balances practical skills with space for reflection, humor, and humanity. My role is to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and grow into a deeper sense of authenticity and confidence over time.

In my own life, I maintain connection and find joy in hikes in the forest, recharging at the ocean, roleplaying games like D&D and Daggerheart, board games with friends, and snuggles with my couch potato dog.
